Zoo pictures

Here are some pictures I took with my Blackberry phone while we were at the zoo in Manhattan, Ks. Den is smelling the flowers.

The weather was perfect when we first got to the zoo but about half way through it got really hot and muggy! But we enjoyed our day there!

Manhattan

We went to a wedding in Manhattan over the weekend. Sarah (our friend) got married. She had a pretty wedding and these were her colors. The reception was nice also. They are going to Hawaii for a honeymoon.
We went to the zoo Sunday afternoon before coming home and I took a bunch of pictures...maybe I will post some later!
Our next adventure will be Estes Park, Colorado...we are really looking forward to that! We rented a cabin for 3 days. Maybe Dennis will try to do some fly fishing. Maybe I'll just hang around the cabin and enjoy the fresh mountain air! (And hope that there aren't any bears or mountain lions around!)
I'm getting excited!

Dennis

Before I ever met Dennis I wanted to marry him. I had a friend that worked with him that used to tell me funny things he said or did and I remember standing by the kitchen stove, reaching for the Crisco and thinking, 'I want to marry that guy!' But then he got married to someone else, and I remember thinking, 'maybe he'll get a divorce...' The rest is history!

This is a picture of Dennis and his dog Rosie. It was taken in 1980 when I first met him. I loved his black curly hair!

I still don't have my swimming pool up and running so thought I'd put this picture of the beach on my blog.

Father's Day

Levi and I took Dennis to Pratt yesterday for Father's Day for lunch. We ate at a Mexican Restaurant. Then we bought Dennis a cordless Drill. I read somewhere that every guy ought to have a cordless drill, and Dennis is building a fence and a deck so, now he has a good drill! Now we just need some nice days for him to work outside. He is a hard worker and a good father!

One of these days I'm going to learn more about Blogging. I tried putting some pictures of old TV shows I used to watch on here then tried to label them and then I just totally messed them up and deleted them. So now, I'll try again-- I just thought it would be fun to post them and look at them once in a while to bring back childhood memories (probably of telling my mom I had a stomach ache so I could miss school and hang out at home and watch TV. I never liked school... and that is so sad....school should have been a fun place....).

Storm clouds, Roses and Kansas Sunset

Here's some pictures I've taken in the last week or two. The storm ended up just barely missing us that night. The roses are in my front yard...I'm so happy they survived the tornado of 5-04-07! A big pine tree had fallen on them and I was so afraid they would be gone! They are so beautiful....I love them! Plus, they are extra special because Dennis bought them for me! And the sunset picture was taken just before we came into Greensburg on Hiway 54 one evening.

Time and Youth and a New Day

Wow! I can't believe a week has already passed since I decided to clean up my swimming pool and get it going! It's still just lying in the backyard all cruddy. I do have the excuse of the rain I guess.
Also I've made a trip or two to Wichita and Pratt. I took Levi and Taylor and a new friend of theirs (Georgia) to the Pizza Hut last night in Pratt. That was fun! Older people should hang out with the youth as much as possible-- for their sakes and ours!
It is a beautiful Sunday morning... the rain came and went in the night, now it is calm and sunny and the birds are singing... and I'm going to bed! (I worked all night.)

Levi got a computer!

Oh-oh!

The day is almost over and I still didn't get the pool up and running. Rats! It was cool out today and I want to wait until a hot day to get it cleaned and going. Plus, I slept after working last night then got up and made Lasagne for supper...mmm...it was good!
Levi and I plan on going to Wichita tomorrow to look for a new laptop. He needs one SO bad! (According to him, that is!)
Dennis and I took a short walk tonight. . .just from the Kwik Shop to home. We definitely need to do that more often!

Kinda Tired

My 4th Blog ever-- how exciting! But I'm so tired! I worked all night and it is bedtime now. When I get up, I'm gonna finish cleaning our swimming pool (the big round one that Joe got us a couple of years ago) and get some water in it and one day go swimming! I also want to get some flowers put in the ground before they croke in their little pots. Goodnight!
4pm...Awake and ate breakfast...think I'll wait 'til tomorrow to tackle the pool.

Rocky's Furniture Day

Rocky and I went to Wichita and he picked out furniture for his new house-- it's really nice. He got a new living room set, dining room table and chairs, computer desk and bedroom set. They will bring it all to him next week. I am happy for him!
After shopping for furniture we ate at the Olive Garden (Raviolli- it was good!) and then we came home, but not before stopping in Pratt at Walmart and the Sonic (the Sonic was giving away FREE root beer floats! They were small sized but perfect for me after eating all that food at the Olive Garden!)
We had a good day.
But I didn't get my basement cleaned-- and that was what I had planned to do before deciding to go with Rocky. I'm glad I went with Rocky and I think he is glad too.
The basement can wait. Levi has made a deal with me to help clean it. He gets to take the car to Wichita tomorrow in exchange for helping me in the basement. I just hope we get around to it before too long! Bye! It's been nice Blogging with you!
